Djokovic, champion at Australian Open

Djokovic won the Australian Open final after a sensational match with Rafael Nadal.


Djokovic falls to his feet after an inspirational performance against a man regarded as one of the greatest to have played the game. The Serb, now a holder of five Grand Slams, rips off his shirt and goes in search of his crew to celebrate. "Incredible," says John Lloyd. "The greatness we talked about last year but this match was the most important of his career. To beat who he beat after playing Murray in the semi-final and being a break down in the fifth. The amount of respect he will have gained from the other players having gone toe-to-toe with Nadal with that level of exhaustion. Definitely the greatest match he's ever played. I don't think he thinks he can believe he's done it.
